On June 20th, 2024, the Florida Supportive Housing Coalition met with the Senior Resource Alliance, the Area Agencies on Aging, and various other organizations to discuss the alarming increase of elderly individuals across the state of Florida experiencing homelessness. Independent housing solutions are sparse, with the variety of options being homeless shelters, nursing homes, or assisted living facilities.
